Silver Xythos Gold Trigger Brown Grip Kit - SX5GTB1.A Datasheet
This is a Xythos miniature 2mm pinfire pistol from Austria - it is nickel-plated, 5 ridge hammer, and PAINTED brown**grips with chain. This is a later styled antique, produced in the early 1970's, which has a round trigger & 5 ridge hammer. This particular model is in "B" or Good condition (graded based on the overall working condition and aesthetics for the same style and age). This gun has a nice finish, with light scratches on the gun's body. Overall length (OAL) is 1 5/8". This Xythos is designed to fire 2mm pinfire BLANKS only (do not attempt to fire lead ball/live rounds).
**NOTE: This gun's prior owner PAINTED THE GRIPS BROWN to make it look like one of the origional 90 Prototype Xythos that were made, in the late 1950's/early 1960's for the friends and family of Andres & Dworsky, and high ranking government officials in Austria and Germany at the time - this is NOT one of the very rare original Xythos versions done in a brown plastic grip. This is a real Xythos someone PAINTED (chipping).
Xythos revolvers are listed in "The Tiniest Guns" by Bob Urso, Vol. 3, pages 40-42 where you can find lots of good information on the history and types made. We've also included some Xythos history on the main category page.
